A POEM A DAY 36

RECOGNIZE

 Alibis
 And little lies
 Compromised
 You justify
 But you also recognize
 That his smile belies
 The truth behind his eyes
 A disguise
 Used to keep you denied
 Of love exemplified
 Arise, arise
 O' butterfly
See the truth behind your eyes
 And recognize
 You are lionized
