A POEM A DAY 44

February 4, 2021

BLINDED

I wanted him to love me
 But how could he
 When he didn’t even
 Love himself enough
To climb out of the depths
 Of his own despair
 He was so blinded
 By his own depravity
 That he couldn’t see
 Or appreciate the love
 That stood before him
