A POEM A DAY 47

A POEM A DAY 47

February 7, 2021

EPHPHATHA

 She had sworn off love
 Resigned to a life alone
 But then one day
 An Angel walked in
 And it was as if
 Jesus had placed his hand
 On her heart and said,
 "Ephphatha!"
 —"Be opened!"—
 And immediately her heart
 Was opened again
 To the possibility of love
