A POEM A DAY 65

SUDDEN & SWEET

I have never been struck before
With a love so sudden and sweet
I question its validity
And I fear I may retreat
To the comfort of
My safety zone
Of solitude
Alone at home
Just me
Myself and I
Eating ice cream
And blueberry pie
But I am stricken
With a love so sudden and sweet
It lies on my lips
Like a delicate treat
