A POEM A DAY 154

ME WITHOUT YOU

Into your soul, I cry
Because you've gone
And said goodbye
I'll never understand why
You had to leave
Left me here to grieve
Months gone by
With no reprieve
I still can't conceive
A world where there's
Me without you
So, I cry into your soul
The other half
Of my whole
Hoping that you can console
My melancholy heart
From these shadows
And shades of dark
Help me gather earth and stone
To build a rampart
So that I may exist
In whole, not part
In a world where there's
Me without you
