A POEM A DAY 200

MY DARK

I am no stranger
To the dark
He lays in wait
Like a predator parked
In a car
Waiting for
Prey to victimize
Steal their innocence
And demoralize
The joy that rests
So easy in their souls
That is the ultimate goal
Of the predator
That waits in my darkness
With a starkness
That is heartless
And cruel
At least that's
My impression
My dark's
Name is
Depression
