A POEM A DAY 201

Cosmic Dialogue

In the vast expanse where darkness reigns,
Earth and Moon engage in silent refrains.
One, a sphere of blue, vibrant and alive,
The other, a pale orb that tides connive.

"Earth," whispers the Moon, "tell me your tale,
Of oceans deep and winds that wail.
How do you thrive amidst chaos and strife?
While I watch, distant, in eternal night."

The Earth, in response, spins on its axis,
Its voice a symphony of life's complex practices.
"I'm home to creatures, both small and grand,
In deserts, forests, and oceans so grand.
"Each dawn brings new songs, each dusk,
a rest, Life's cycles woven, a continuous quest.
Yet, I watch you, Moon, serene and still,
Your tranquil beauty, a cosmic thrill."

The Moon, with a sigh, reflects Earth's plight,
Its craters and plains bathed in gentle light.
"I may seem tranquil, but I bear my scars,
Witness to collisions from distant stars.
"Yet, in stillness, I find my grace,
A silent witness to time and space.
Together, Earth, we dance in the night,
Bound by gravity's unyielding might."

As they converse, in celestial rhyme,
Earth and Moon share a timeless paradigm.
In their silent dialogue, a bond profound,
A cosmic connection, forever unbound.
