There is just no loving
A broken man
Try as you will
You never can

Has lost his dreams
They have drifted away
On the abysmal stream
Of the lost and battered
The neglected and used
A broken man
Is shattered and bruised
From a life unlived
Unknown to love
He's been pushed around
And beaten and shoved
So, try as you will
But never can
There is just no loving
