On February 15th my brother died Hanging from the Tree of Suicide No longer able to mask the pain Or deal with his burden’s heavy strain His burden not easy, his yoke too tight He took a rope, thin and slight And fastened it to that Unassuming Tree In his quest to be set free I hope he found the Freedom he sought That couldn’t be attained through the drugs he bought Maybe the only Freedom he could see Was hanging from a limb on that Lychee Nut Tree Simona A.
