A PONDER

If roses weren't red
And violets weren't blue 
Would love be a bloom
Between us two?
It's just a question that I ponder
This drab and dreary night.
So, let's not turn this 
Into a fight.
Now you know 
Just as well as I 
That ole saying
Is an absolute lie.
Cause not all roses are red
Nor all violets blue.
And yeah,
Love has blossomed
Between us two!
