When
When morning comes and shadows flee,
When sunlight dances on the sea,
When weary birds begin to sing,
And winter loosens into spring.
When broken hearts remember how
To trust the quiet present now,
When tears have dried and wounds grow small,
And we no longer fear the fall.
When yesterday has lost its sting,
And hope returns on fragile wing,
We learn that endings, dark and slow,
May clear the way for us to grow.
